Secure the Future of Reproductive Choice
The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice began the Jim Barrett Memorial Society to recognize supporters who have named us in their will, trust, or other planned gift. Jim and his wife, June, had been tireless advocates for reproductive choice since becoming clinic escorts as part of their church ministry in Pensacola, Florida. In one devastating moment in July 1994, an assassin murdered Jim and Dr. John Britton as they were entering the clinic and left June for dead.

June survived and served on our Board of Directors for many years to honor Jim’s memory and their shared commitment to religious and reproductive freedom. June says: “I cherish my memories of Jim, and I invite you to honor his life with your bequest to the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.”

We recognize that each situation presents a special set of circumstances and that each donor has specific objectives. Planned giving arrangements can be tailored to fit individual needs while supporting the Coalition’s mission to ensure that future generations can make decisions about childbearing and family in keeping with their religious beliefs and conscience.
