All Options Clergy Counseling: pregnancy counseling — $100 gift
Our All Options clergy counselors provide free, compassionate and supportive counseling to pregnant women or girls facing difficult reproductive health decisions. Our trained clergy counselors helps these women and their families explore their reproductive options as well as what their religion teaches about abortion and a woman’s right to make reproductive health decisions in consultation with her family according to her faith and conscience. Your $100 gift will support our training program that prepares clergy to counsel women and girls.

Peaceful Presence: peaceful clinic support — $75
Your support for an activist’s Peaceful Presence vigil at a health clinic ensures that women and girls seeking reproductive health services, including abortion, have supporters on their side during anti-choice rallies or demonstrations outside a clinic. Our Peaceful Presence training teaches religious, pro-choice activists to support patients and clinic staff who may be under tremendous pressure, educate those seeking reproductive health services about religious support and model peaceful behavior for both pro-choice and anti-choice demonstrators. Our Peaceful Presence demonstrations are not intended to change the minds of anti-choice demonstrators. This intense training — based on principles of non-violence and non-confrontation — prepares activists for aggressive harassment (yelling or close physical contact) and soft harassment (attacking the pro-choice position) as well as organizing and safety advice for the peaceful demonstration. Your contribution will support the training of one religious, pro-choice activist at a clinic.

Generation to Generation: reducing teen pregnancy — $50
Your contribution to Generation to Generation will support an African American teen’s participation in our intense weekly teen pregnancy prevention program. Generation to Generation links teen pregnancy prevention and faith-based sexuality education for African American girls who live in challenging areas with high teen pregnancy rates. Our candid, faith-based dialogue and sexuality education help to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy and sexually-transmitted infections and support responsible sexual decision-making. Our program shares the impact and consequences of early sexual activity and childbearing on girls’ lives and future opportunities and prepares them for situations they may face in the real world. Your gift will support an African American girl’s participation in our weekly Generation to Generation program.

Young adult activist program: Connecting spirituality and pro-choice values — $500
Your contribution to Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom (SYRF) supports the activism of religious, pro-choice youth on college campuses and in communities across the country as they advocate for reproductive rights and access to reproductive options. Our SYRF program mobilizes these young leaders and sustains their efforts to share their religious, pro-choice values with their peers and bring other young people into the movement. As a part of our education and advocacy strategy, we identify emerging young pro-choice leaders and support their efforts to protect their own reproductive rights and access to reproductive health services as we prepare them to carry on the fight for our reproductive rights. Your gift will provide a semester’s support for a pro-choice student activist on a college campus or in a community.

Faith-based sexuality education: teens hear straight talk about sex — $125
Your support for comprehensive faith-based sexuality education for an African American or Latino teen will prepare them to make better decisions about sex and prevent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and sexually-transmitted infections. Our faith-based sexuality dialogues —“Breaking the Silence” for adults and “Keeping It Real!” for teens — are critical tools for educating African American and Latino faith leaders and youth about sexuality, teen childbearing and other reproductive health issues in the context of their religion and culture. Your gift will support one day of comprehensive sexuality education for an African American or Latino teen through their congregations.

Clergy Lobby Visits: advocating for reproductive rights — $500
Your support sends pro-choice clergy to Capitol Hill as one of the most visible ways to demonstrate religious support for reproductive rights. Our clergy training programs educate clergy leaders and prepare them to meet with Congressional representatives and participate in Capitol Hill briefings to advance religious, pro-choice values. Their presence ensures that religious, pro-choice constituents are heard by national decision-makers, especially on timely issues such as comprehensive sex education, access to contraception or reproductive health policy and legislation. The presence of informed and prepared clergy activists on Capitol Hill raises awareness of threats to reproductive rights, demonstrates religious support for reproductive choice and provides a visible alternative to the Religious Right. Your contribution supports a clergy advocacy visit and ensures that pro-choice voices are heard by national decision-makers.
