La Iniciativa Latina

La meta de La Iniciativa Latina es ayudar a las comunidades Latinas aplicar la sexualidad humana desde una perspectiva informativa por fe.  Esto será hecho posible a través de la educación, preparación, y foros abiertos y incluyendo y no limitado a la educación comprensiva sobre la educación de sexualidad, educación de salud reproductiva y justicia, la prevención del embarazo de adolescentes, la  VIH/Sida desde una perspectiva religioso que refleja un entendimiento de la cultura latina.

In December 2000, La Iniciativa Latina, an initiative for Latina/o clergy, laity and youth, was created by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice as a program of the Multicultural Program Department.

The goal of La Iniciativa Latina is to assist Latino communities in addressing human sexuality from a faith informed perspective. This assistance will be made possible through education, training, and open forums on subjects including but not limited to, comprehensive sexuality education, reproductive health and justice education, teen pregnancy prevention, HIV/AIDS from a religious perspective that reflects an understanding of Latino culture.

MultiCultural Programs Department Clearinghouse and Resource Center features a collection of theological books, sermons, speeches,  workshop presentations, youth and adult sexuality curriculums. The Clearing House and Resource Center serves as a resource to clergy, seminarians, health and human service educators, parents and youth.
